Course Format
Our AR/VR course consists of a hybrid learning approach. Students will receive 120 hours of Live Online instruction within a limited class size and will be assigned 200 hours of comprehensive, hands-on assignments and homework all designed to test and monitor content understanding. The course will culminate in a final Capstone project. When students have finished this 5-month course, they will have the knowledge and skillset to begin as a AR/VR developer or apply for careers within the field of AR/VR animation.
This Could Be You
EduMind is pleased to offer a course in immersive technologies. The application possibilities of AR/VR are limitless; these technologies can be used to generate interactive models of the human body, manufacturing processes, architectural planning, and more. Here is just a small taste of the work our partner, Holopundits, has created in AR/VR/MR:
Human Anatomy
HoloPundits seeks to help students understand human anatomy better for both medical science and general educational purposes. This video demonstrates a human arm broken down into its skeletal, muscular, circulatory, and nervous systems. The XR app experience allows for individual components of the arm to be interacted with and visualized.
City Planning
HoloPundits helps builders and architects to visualize and make changes to a blueprint without the need to draw and redraw their designs. Using XR allows city planners to take a 3D walkthrough of the structure, adjust building spaces, replace buildings, manipulate interior design, and more. This video shows how users can gain an aerial view of the project, learn information about each building, and replace buildings—all virtually!
Spindle
In this video, learn how XR is used to facilitate training on product assembly. In the past, employees would have had to receive their instructions from manuals or other people presenting on the product, but with XR, product assembly tutorials can be overlaid over the image an employee actually sees, making it easier for them to follow directions properly and create a well-crafted product with limited errors.
Digestive System
HoloPundit’s video on the digestive system takes users through the whole digestive process in an interactive and immersive format. Users can view the system in 360-degrees to better understand what the different organ structures and actions are. They can select specific digestive parts like the large intestine to view intricate detail. This video also demonstrates the interactive exam function of the app, where users can quiz themselves on anatomy subject matter.
Cell Structures
This video explores the structure and functions of cell junctions within XR. With this immersive learning system, users can witness a simulation of cell function to help them understand the exact processes that take place. This visual type of learning is particularly helpful for content retention.
